Trekking Nebida – Masua – Porto Flavia Sentiero dei 5 Faraglioni

1 Day

Fantastic itinerary that allows you to discover the stack of Pan di Zucchero gradually, through exceptional points of view on the coast of Nebida. One of the most beautiful stretches of the Sardinian coast begins from Nebida, it is an itinerary from which you can enjoy the view of the 5 stacks: the first is Portu Raffa, then S’ Agusteri (of lobsters), two stacks of Portu Banda and the majestic Pan di Zucchero 130 meters high, the highest stack in Europe. Let’s start from Laveria La Marmora, a historic and suggestive mining building, which we reach thanks to a panoramic stairway made up of 400 steps.

Then we rejoin the path that leads to the beach of Portu Banda and continue along rocky coves and small beaches up to the beautiful beach of Masua. If you want, continue towards Porto Flavia and end the trek with a visit to the famous mining port on the sea.

Itinerary

The trek starts from the village of Nebida, from the historic Laveria Lamarmora, and in the first part takes advantage of the path that leads from Nebida to the beach of Portu Banda, a beautiful inlet marked by the rare and very ancient Ordovician puddinga rock (480 million years ago).
From here you go up towards the north, towards the promontory from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view towards the stacks of Portu Banda and Augusteri, visible in sequence. We head towards Porto Ferro, also, like Portu Banda, a mineral boating point and from its promontory you can admire the Laveria Lamarmora di Nebida and the sequence of 4 stacks from afar.
Looking north, we begin to admire the Pan di Zucchero stack, which we gradually discover in all its magnificence. Once in Porto Corallo, the contrast between the whiteness of the ceroid limestone of Pan di Zucchero and the purple of the puddinga is even more evident.
An easy path takes you to the beaches of Masua, from which Pan di Zucchero can be contemplated from a privileged point of view.
From here, you can continue on foot towards Porto Flavia and visit the famous mining port on the sea, with an exclusive guided tour.
You return to the starting point with a shuttle or private vehicle (6 km).
